Learn about the library and information training offered to students, doctoral students and employees of the Jagiellonian University's Faculty of Law and Administration.
Submit to us your needs for acquiring and improving competencies in searching in legal sources and resources and using information and communication tools in a learning environment. Your feedback will help us prepare further training courses and direct our offerings to actual needs.
If you are an academic, student and interested in sources of knowledge and information in the field of law - welcome to our library.
During the approximately half-hour training you will learn about the collections and services of the Faculty Law Library. We will present, among other things:
- Availability of journals, books, law systems, legal databases and publications of English, German, French, Ukrainian, Slovak law schools and other law-related materials.
- Terms of enrollment and use of the library.
- Procedures for searching catalogs, ordering, using and processing available materials.
- Facilities for people using the library:
- online databases,
- access to Academica,
- self-service scanners,
- stations for people with special needs,
- lockers for personal belongings,
- professional assistance from staff.
- Possibility to bring or purchase items not available in our library.
- Offer of law books for distribution.
Call, write or come to the Library (preferably to the Reading Room) and make an appointment for training. If it is organizationally possible, we will train you right on the spot. If not, we will suggest another convenient date.
For organized groups, it is possible to provide training in an agreed scope and dates, after e-mail or telephone notification.
