The WBP-SPWI UJ library operates on the principles of a reading room (meaning there is no possibility of borrowing collections for use outside), the general terms of access to which are determined by the part of the Regulations of the WBP UJ concerning WBP-SPWI.
Using the Reading Room is possible after activating a library account on a student or doctoral ID card or after obtaining a library card - on-site at the WBP-SPWI Reading Room.

Access to the collections is based on open access to the shelves.

To place an order for collections stored in the archives and staff rooms, you need to fill out the reverse side. Fulfillment of requests (if possible) is done promptly, on the day of the order. The waiting time is approximately 15 minutes.
Readers can submit lists of books to order along with their copy signatures via email: wbp_spwi@uj.edu.pl with a minimum of 3 days' notice, allowing for the early preparation of ordered books.
The catalog of WBP-SPWI collections is available online through the Catalog of Libraries of the Jagiellonian University website. The searched items must include the following elements:

The user is obliged to return the used collections to a specially designated place (NOT on the shelves in the Reading Room). Within the Library premises, users have the possibility of making copies of collections for the purposes of private use within the limits of fair use, applying the principle of compensating for the incurred operating costs (2 sheets of blank paper for 1 page).
Catalog online
Since 2000, all incoming book publications to the WBP-SPWI Library are entered into the online catalog available on the aforementioned Jagiellonian Library website (in addition, many publications collected before 2000 are also included).
Card catalogs
The collections gathered in the Library before 2000 can be searched through both the alphabetical card catalog of books available in the WBP-SPWI Reading Room and the online catalog of the BJ.
Due to not all collections being entered into the BJ online catalog (in case the publication is not found in the online catalog), please check publications issued before 2000 also in the WBP-SPWI card catalog or contact a librarian (e.g., for sought-after journals).
WBP-SPWI also allows searching through a subject card catalog created according to its own scheme (book collections gathered up to 1999)
