Academica

The Faculty Law Library invites students and employees of the JU's Faculty of Law to use Academica, a digital lending library of books and scientific journals from the collections of the National Library. The user gains access to more than 3,600,000 publications from all fields of knowledge, including the latest ones covered by copyright protection.

General rules for using the Academica system in the WBP Reading Room

  • The system can be accessed only from a designated terminal in the Reading Room during library opening hours.
  • Registration of readers is carried out by the librarian on duty.
  • Registration in the system is tantamount to acceptance of the User Regulations of the Academica Digital Lending Library of Scientific Publications.
  • Logging in is done using the login and password assigned to the reader. Before logging in on the portal page, select from the list of libraries - Faculty Law Library of the Jagiellonian University.
  • Detailed rules for using the system are available in the above-mentioned Regulations and in the CWPN Academica Reader's Handbook.


If you do not find the publication you are looking for in Academica's resources, it is possible to submit a request for its digitization to a CWPN staff member or to czytelnia.wbp@uj.edu.pl. The request will be forwarded to the National Library.
